Bluesky is a microblogging social networking service inspired by Twitter. Users can share 300 character text messages, links, hashtags, images, GIFs and videos in short posts. They can reply, repost, quote post and like posts they read. Private messaging is also available.
Users can choose to create themed Lists of accounts they follow and share a link to this collection with others.
Bluesky launched as an invite-only service in February 2023 and opened registrations in February 2024.
